Ast goh' ert moist?
Ast bin on t'internet?
since i have so many brits and uk types in one place, i was wondering if you all could classify or tell me the names of the different british accents.
i think most in the states could be grouped by region and then each region divided into regular folks and folks with cash.
for instance in thestates, you basically have north east which is can be characterized by your classic new york or boston accents.

hello all, i've been reading your site for a couple of years now, and have found, for the most part, it to be very helpful.
i must say, at first i was very "scared" at what i might find, but contrary to what i grew up learning, there is a "wealth" of information outside of the watchtower organization.
i haven't attended meetings for about two years now, and like many i've read about, have spent many hours researching, telling myself "i'm not wrong for searching", and doing more research.
Hi there Scholar
The seventy years referred to by Jeremiah, Daniel, Ezra and Zechariah are all linked together by direct quotation to one period of desolation-exile-servitude to Babylon. This period was a period of domination by the Babylonian World Power and ended with its downfall and a new World Power, Medo-Persia
Could you use all that scholarly brainpower and take 70 years off 539BC. What year do you calculate it to be?
people dwelling together
life will be good
all will scream
Singing "You too can have a fart" always seemed to make me and my friends chuckle.
im from a small backward industrial town in the north of england.
in the 70's when i was a kid no-one had a car.
we used to meet for field service on the street corner and have a pep rally right there, then stand in a circle and say a prayer.
I don't remember going out on field service much on Saturdays. I can only remember lazy mornings watching Swap Shop, Tiswas, Battle of the Planets etc then off to Manchester with mum and dad (3 hours in Kendals!), then back home in time for the footy results and Dr Who.
Sundays were awful in comparison. Morning spent knocking on doors if my rain dance had failed. Then 20 minute drive home for lunch. Then just as ITV football started it was suits on and taken back kicking and screaming to the afternoon meeting 3 till 5pm!!! Absolute torture. Home sometime after 6, then tea and That's Life on TV before bed.
karen has just had a visit from her cult father.
i heard about this some time ago.. on the booze tonight,so i am taping it and will watch it later...... .

Ex witness mates of mine told me that actor Simon Gregson who plays Steve Macdonald was brought up as a JW.
.
still, the americans showed plenty of spirit and were unlucky not to have scored again.. but i did say that england would win... .
englishman.
Careful! remember what happened when it was Australia v England at Upton Park?
My mate who lives in Oz says the Ozzies have brought out a DVD to commemorate his great occasion! I wonder how many Ozzies realise we viewed this as a practice match and substituted the entire team at half time.
Now if the Ozzies ever get to the World Cup finals we'll see a completely different sort of match. But it isn't going to happen, is it?
eat your hearts out, eh?.
must be time soon for a poll!.
i'm so glad to be out of hospital just to see that!
Arsenal were back to their old boring selves. They didn't have any attacks, packed the midfield, were very negative and should have been thrashed!
Much as it pains a fan of the other Manchester team, but United were far better. But that's football, you have to take your chances. And trust an Englishman to miss the penalty!
I'm afraid tonights European Final may be very similar, with a very defensive Liverpool side. Foreign coaches tend to be more defensive. It's like watching a game of chess, but it tends to get results.
Let's make the goals bigger!!!
i was listening to zep's dazed and confused today and the rocking middle section of that song never ceases to amaze me - john bonham was from a different planet, was completely insane, or both.
nothing i've ever heard in any other song quite compares to that.. honorable mentions:.
neil peart on the songs tom sawyer and subdivisions.
The best were John Bonham and Keith Moon.
Just imagine one night out on the town with both of them and Oliver Reed. Not many would survive that!
i have wanted to ask this question for some time and i think i found the place.
i understand that jw's (i use that term respectfully) believe that the days of creation are a long period of time.
(i am not sure what the belief is either 1000 or 7000 years i think) my question is this how do you come up with that.
Pintoman,
I think their most recent expression for the length of a creative day is "millenia" which could mean any length of time, from a thousand years to millions of years. This also keeps older JWs happy who think the Watchtower still believes in the 7000 year creative day doctrine.
Someone else may be able to give you the most recent quote from their publications on this.
